About the Youth Olympics
The 2016 Winter Youth Olympics (Vinter-OL for ungdom), officially known as the II Winter Youth Olympic Games, took place in Lillehammer, between 12 February and 21 February 2016. The youth games inspire young people worldwide to participate in sports and live the Olympic values. The games gathered 1100 athletes from 71 countries and consisted of 70 events. On behalf of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF), NPG had the pleasure of designing and building exhibition area, stands and public areas for the games.
NPG builds trade fair and public areas
When the athletes did not compete, they participated in a comprehensive cultural and learning program called “Learn & Share“. This area was designed and built by NPG, respectively in Haakon’s Hall in Lillehammer and at Scandic Hotell in Hamar. NPG also built the trade fair area, called Sjogg’s Market which consisted of exhibition stands as well as public- and dining areas.
“After the conclusion of the Lillehammer 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games, on behalf of the CIFP Team, I would herewith like to thank you very much for your kind cooperation and all your help with setting up the fair play booth.
We believe our pavilion looked colourful, youthful and attractive and the young athletes enjoyed themselves in this nice setting as much as we did.
Once again, thank you very much and I wish you all the best with your future projects.”
Lilla Zsofia ADAM (Ms), CIFP Special Adviser on Education and YOG Programmes

“You had complex team with high levels of expertise ranging from design, technical solutions, materials and project management. It was a great willingness to cooperate among your people involved and you were solution-oriented both regarding us and our partners, despite short deadlines and partners with different experiences and assumptions.
We would like to thank you and everyone involved both before and during the games”.
