About the exhibition
Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo is dedicated to showcasing the very latest and next-generation electric and hybrid marine charging and propulsion technologies, components and solutions. NPG had the pleasure of delivering concept, visualization and implementation of the Kongsberg Maritime stand at the fair. Several Norwegian companies exhibited at the fair including Brunvoll, ABB, Ulstein Blue Ctrl, Corvus Energy, Selfa Arctic and Stadt.
Kongsberg Maritime stand design
The stand is designed according to Kongsberg’s new design manual (developed by NPG). The long, narrow area is divided into three: A social area with a small lounge, as well as a storage room in the middle sectioned by two product presentation areas. Kongsberg Maritime mainly uses large touch screens for presenting their products and systems.
Winner of both “Innovation of the Year” and “Propulsion System Manufacturer of the Year”
Kongsberg Maritime won its first ever Electric & Hybrid Marine award, taking home the for its SAVe Energy lithium-ion energy storage system. Developed and released by Rolls-Royce Marine’s commercial business unit, which was later acquired by Kongsberg Maritime, SAVe Energy is liquid cooled and capable of producing 10-18MWh of electric power for ferries, cruise ships, and multi-purpose vessels. Contracts have already been signed for installation on several major vessels. Kongsberg Maritime enjoyed double success at this year’s Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards as it also
won the Propulsion System Manufacturer of the Year award.
