About the project
Stop. Look. Ask questions.
That was the starting point for The Wave at ONS 2026.
Sea to sea developed the concept with a desire to get people to stop, ask questions and talk together. When the project was put out to tender, NPG was chosen as a partner to further develop and implement the solution at the fair.
Instead of competing for attention with more screens and more noise, Havtil wanted to create a place where people actually stopped.
The result was The Wave. An organic installation that invited visitors in and created space for conversations about safety.
Our role
Havtil developed the concept and the story they wanted to tell. NPG Exhibition contributed as an advisory partner throughout the project and was responsible for further developing the concept into a physical solution at the fair.
The core of the concept was the organic wave, which served as a landmark, meeting place and conversation starter at the same time.
Visitors could move through the installation, around it and close to it. The organic shapes, materials and spaces between them made it more than just a visual eye-catcher. It could be explored and experienced.
The concept stood out clearly in the exhibition hall and showed how form and design can help create awareness around important topics.
The Result
The Wave became one of the most talked about stands at ONS 2026.
The distinctive shape attracted visitors from all parts of the exhibition hall and became a natural gathering point throughout the exhibition days. The tactile shapes and open design helped create curiosity and conversations around Havtil's message.
The project was nominated for Best Stand Award at ONS 2026It joins the ranks of several Havtil projects that have received the same recognition over the years.
NPG is as usual always a fantastic partner. We have been working with NPG since 2018 and have never been anything but delighted. Crazy good project manager (we have only had one the whole way: Jon Atle).
