About the project

Thai Airways was launching its new direct route between Oslo and Bangkok. As a leading airline to one of the world’s most popular destinations, they wanted to connect with travelers dreaming of a smooth and comfortable journey to Thailand.

To achieve this, they wanted a comprehensive marketing campaign that utilized channels that are visible in the cityscape.

Our role

NPG developed and executed a campaign that combined creative initiatives with strategic distribution. In our studio at NPG Sports & Communication we produced radio commercials with a catchy message, broadcast on popular radio stations to effectively reach the target audience. The radio production was tailored to capture the interest of travelers considering Thailand as their next destination.

Additionally, we created digital ads strategically placed on digital billboards at key transit points such as metro, tram, and train stations throughout Oslo. These visual elements ensured strong visibility in the cityscape and increased brand awareness among thousands of daily commuters.

As part of the campaign, NPG Event planned and executed an exclusive event for specially invited travel agencies. The event featured an intimate sit-down dinner, providing Thai Airways with an opportunity to thank their partners for their efforts in selling tickets to Thailand. The dinner included four Thai-inspired courses made with Norwegian ingredients, creating a memorable experience that strengthened the relationship between Thai Airways and the travel agencies.

With close project management from our team, we ensured that all parts of the campaign, from production to implementation, maintained high quality and were delivered within the timeframe.

The Result

The campaign resulted in a significant increase in Thai Airways among the audience. The digital screens, placed in some of the city's most trafficked locations, provided a strong presence in the cityscape. The radio advertisements captured the attention of a wide audience, and the combination of these measures contributed to a measurable increase in airline ticket sales. The event was fully booked and strengthened the relationship between Thai Airways and travel agents.

The results of the campaigns laid a solid foundation for Thai Airways' further efforts in the Norwegian market. The collaboration between Thai Airways and NPG demonstrates how a targeted marketing strategy can drive results in both brand awareness and sales.
